This painting was inspired by the Largest Anti-government protest in Iraq, where more than 600 civilians had been killed by forces which is very devastating and heartbreaking. Me as an Iraqi who didn’t have the chance to be part of that protest. I wanted to participate with the least I can do and paint a painting expressing what most Iraqis want, which is peace .
